Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Come, join us to pray with and for one another this Lent.  Bring your struggles, your sins, your joys, and your daily challenges to the Lord. Jesus invites you to let him shoulder your burdens and he offers you the grace to live joyfully. 

Pray a community prayer with us daily in spiritual solidarity with friends and neighbors.  A new prayer will be offered each week during Lent here on this page, as well as through FlockNote, and in our bulletin.

If you are able to carve out a little more time from your schedule this Lent, you may also want to consider one of the following options to help you open your heart to the Lord:

• Consider how God is speaking to you through daily Gospel reflection using the Lenten Companion from Ascension Press. These books will be available in our parish Office and at Hospitality beginning the week of February 20 for $10 each.
• Reflect on a short weekly video.  These videos accompany the Lenten Companion but can be enjoyed separately. Use this link, then scroll to the bottom of the page to see the weekly video offerings from Ash Wednesday through the Triduum.
• Pray the Stations of the Cross together with our parish community in the church each Friday evening from March 4 through April 1, beginning at 6:00 pm.
• Join the Lenten Bible Study:  No Greater Love: A Biblical Walk Through Christ’s Passion, based on the book of the same name by Dr. Edward Sri. Meetings will be offered on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 – 11:15 am in the Rectory Dining Room and Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:15 pm via Zoom. Registration is required and the cost of materials is $30. Choose the meeting schedule that best meets your needs. Contact Patrice Fitzpatrick for more information and to register.

 
The Journey to the Cross Prayer Challenge is a 10-day journey through the
story of Christ's passion. Sign up for FlockNote by texting OLVDC to 84576, or
by online to receive one text a day for10 days.

Each text will let you know which scripture verses to read (only about a couple of
paragraphs each day) and give you a question to reflect on through prayer and
journaling. It only takes a few minutes each day, access to a Bible —either printed
or digital (e.g., available at www.usccb.org), and a willingness to take on the
challenge.
