Girls U14 Soccer
submitted by Grace Q. (6th Grade)
On Saturday, Sept 17, Our Lady of Victory U14 girls faced Holy Redeemer in soccer. Held at Georgetown Visitation High School, the Blue Hawks were led by 7th-grade star, Julia, who scored all four goals. Claire also stood out during the game with a goal-scoring assist. Sixth-grader Isabella took a hard hit early in the game but managed to keep playing. Despite a great effort by the entire team, OLV fell to the Redeemers with a final score of 6 to 4. Join us next week back at Visitation when the U14 girls will have their own Holy redemption when they face Little Flower.

Boys U10 Soccer
submitted by the McLaughlin Family
The U10 boys fought their way to a dramatic, 3-3 tie against St. Patrick’s on Saturday, Sept. 17. The Blue Hawks trailed 3-2 with less than 30 seconds left when Sam W. scored the tying goal on a lengthy free kick that found the upper right corner. It was one of three goals for Sam, who turned in a hat trick in his second-ever OLV game. The Blue Hawks also benefited from strong goalkeeping by Luke and Kabel, as well as constant pressure on the ball from Finn, Grant, and others. Next up for the U10 Boys are their arch-rivals, Blessed Sacrament.

Boys U12 Soccer

The U12 boys had a bye week on Sept. 17, but they started the season strong on Sept. 10 with a dominating 5-0 victory over Holy Cross. Sam had two goals for the Blue Hawks, and William, Thomas, and Marcel also scored goals. Henry and Julian both turned in shutout performances as goalies. Brady’s speed also created problems for Holy Cross. The U12 boys face St. Patrick’s this week.
