There are many ways to get involved at Our Lady of Victory, through our corporal ministries serving both the parish and the wider community.  If interested in any of these ministries, please contact the Parish office by email or at 202-337-4835, ext 100.  You may also use the contact form to request more information.

Ministry to Sick, Elderly and Infirm

Volunteers visit those who in our community who are in need of encouragement.  The focus of this Ministry is to visit, pray with, and take Holy Communion to members of our Parish who are ill and home-bound or reside in the Grand Oaks assisted living facility.  Occasionally, this ministry includes visiting parishioners in the hospital or other care-giving institutions as well.

If you would like to be served by this ministry or you would like to refer someone to be served by this Ministry, please call Janice Harris in the Parish Office at 202-337-4835. Please provide the name and address of the person requesting service, a phone number to arrange visits, and an emergency point of contact.

We welcome additional volunteers for this Ministry and will provide a short training session for new volunteers.  As we work in pairs, we welcome both Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers and those who would like to lead the prayers.  Please contact either Fran Byers or Ellen Kane.
